Luke has been a member of the Taylor Village Tigerfish for the past ten years. After his first summer with the Tigerfish, he began swimming competitively year-round, spending two years with Greater Baltimore Swim Association (GBSA) before moving to the Retriever Aquatic Club (RAC), where he has been competing since 2014. Luke specializes in distance freestyle and breaststroke and has qualified multiple times for championship-level meets, including Straehles and the Maryland State Championships.
This is Luke’s second season of coaching for the Tigerfish, after serving as a Junior Coach during the 2019 season. He obtained his lifeguard certification this spring and will be assisting the head coaches with all age group levels while also continuing to compete in the 15-18 age group, where he is part of the team record-holding mixed 200 freestyle relay.
Luke recently graduated from Mt. Hebron High School and will be attending the University of South Carolina this fall. He is excited to be working as a coach again and is looking forward to helping the younger swimmers reach their goals in the water this summer.
Maddie has been a member of the Taylor Village Tigerfish Swim Team for 9 years, and this is her second year as a coach after Junior Coaching the year before. Maddie is a rising senior at Mt. Hebron High School. In addition to swimming, she plays field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse for her school.
Maddie has had nothing but great memories swimming for the Tigerfish and is so excited to give back to the community that has fostered these invaluable experiences by coaching. She loves getting to know the swimmers and finds so much joy in watching them improve over the season and helping them grow. She's thrilled to return this year and can't wait to have a great season!
Lyla is a rising junior at Mount Heberon High School and is so excited to be back with the Tigerfish this season! She first began swimming with the team at age 7 and has developed a love of swimming and coaching over the past 8 years. She began junior coaching with the Learn to Race team for the 2022 season, and stepped up to a coaching position for the 2023 season. She is so excited to be back for a 3rd season coaching, and can’t wait to meet the team and help the younger swimmers meet their goals!
Mason has been swimming since he was 6 years old, and has been with the Tigerfish since he was 7. Also, he swims competitively during the year-round season with the Greater Baltimore Swim Association, and has been doing so since he was 8. Mason has received multiple awards from the Tigerfish including most improved, multiple MVP awards, and the 2023 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Outstanding Athlete award. Last year, Mason was a Junior Coach with TVT and is thrilled to continue helping other swimmers on the team this summer, as well as taking on the new responsibility of being a coach.
Bhavjot swam for TigerFish from the age of 5-15 years old. He has been doing year-round swim with HoCo Aquatics and for the past two years with GBSA. This year he qualified for the MD Junior Championships. Bhavjot is excited for the opportunity to give back by helping younger kids learn to swim and especially wanted to come back to Tigerfish swim team.
