Hi Tigerfish! My name is Coach Hannah and I am very excited to be head coach of the Taylor Village Swim Team this summer. I started swimming at a CMSL summer swim team called Hammond Park Pool when I was 8 years old and swam there for 10 years. From 2018-2025, I swam year-round for the Y of the Central Maryland, qualifying for both short and long course Y Nationals. I am currently a freshman on the swim team at Millersville University, specializing in long distance freestyle and pursuing a degree in Environmental Science. I was a junior coach on my summer swim team for 2 years, a coach for the Dancel YMCA for the past 4 years, and a coach for the Lancaster YMCA this year. I can't wait to take what I have learned from my experience to help our swimmers improve their skills and develop a passion for swimming. I am looking forward to a fun summer!
Maddie has been a member of the Taylor Village Tigerfish Swim Team for 9 years, and this is her second year as a coach after Junior Coaching the year before. Maddie is a rising senior at Mt. Hebron High School. In addition to swimming, she plays field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse for her school.
Maddie has had nothing but great memories swimming for the Tigerfish and is so excited to give back to the community that has fostered these invaluable experiences by coaching. She loves getting to know the swimmers and finds so much joy in watching them improve over the season and helping them grow. She's thrilled to return this year and can't wait to have a great season!
Sophie has been a part of the Taylor Village Tigerfish family for over 10 years and is a rising senior at Mt Hebron High School. This season is Sophie’s 3rd year coaching after 2 years of junior coaching. Aside from swimming, she plays soccer, basketball and track for Mt Hebron. Sophie has received multiple awards including the 2022 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) award.
Sophie loves working with the kids and watching them progress through the summer. She is looking forward to having another great season!
Mason has been swimming since he was 6 years old, and has been with the Tigerfish since he was 7. Also, he swims competitively during the year-round season with the Greater Baltimore Swim Association, and has been doing so since he was 8. Mason has received multiple awards from the Tigerfish including most improved, multiple MVP awards, and the 2023 Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Outstanding Athlete award. Last year, Mason was a Junior Coach with TVT and is thrilled to continue helping other swimmers on the team this summer, as well as taking on the new responsibility of being a coach.
Kendall has been swimming with Tigerfish since she was six and this is her first year as a coach after two years of junior coaching. Kendall is a rising sophomore at Howard High School where she plays basketball and softball. She is looking forward to meeting new swimmers and a fun summer swim season!
Pierre is a rising sophomore at Howard High School and has been swimming with Tigerfish since he was 8 years old. He has also been swimming year-round with the Greater Baltimore Swim Association (GBSA) for 4 years. In 2022, he won the Amateur Athletics Union (AAU) Outstanding Athlete award. Pierre has enjoyed improving his swimming year after year and is excited to help other swimmers improve their own swimming. He hopes to encourage them to keep swimming every summer and develop the same love for swimming that he has grown to have. Last year, Pierre was a junior coach, and he has since looked forward to being more involved as an official coach this summer!
Alana is a rising junior at Howard High School. She has been swimming with the Tigerfish since she was 8 years old. She swims competitively year-round with the Y of Central Maryland. Alana has received the AAU award in 2024. She has been a junior coach for one year but is looking forward to being a coach this summer. Alana aims to help Tigerfish swimmers improve and have fun!
